What is IPL Therapy?

Intensive Pulse Light Therapy (IPL) is a non-invasive therapy that uses high-intensity pulse frequencies from the visible spectrum of light to improve the condition of the skin, as well as to treat various vascular lesions, including telangiectasia, torn superficial veins, broom veins, for the treatment of moderate acne, age pigments, wrinkles, lines, scars, rosacea, smoothing and rejuvenation of the face, long-term removal of unwanted hair. All these therapies are performed through a series of IPL procedures – between 4 and 8 in number. The system operates on the same principle as laser technology. Light energy is absorbed by the corresponding target cells, called chromatophores. Light energy is transformed into heat, which affects the selected area. IPL systems are different from laser systems in that they use different light wavelengths for different problems in specific areas. With IPL can be done so-called. “photo rejuvenation”. The skin becomes tender, smooth, the pores shrink, the complexion evens out. Skin aging slows down. The results are not as dramatic as ablative (laser) resurfacing, but significant refreshing is achieved.
